Our Sustainability Initiatives team has an opportunity for a Sustainably Schools Advisor to join a friendly team who are passionate about achieving tangible sustainability outcomes in TÄmaki Makaurau.
This exciting opportunity is to work closely with Auckland schools and their communities and help us support and build new and innovative sustainability initiatives through student-led action.
You will engage with pre-schools, kura, wharekura and schools to embrace MÄori world views with the purpose of fostering kaitiakitanga in our community.
You will work with the Team Manager to deliver and implement Auckland Councilâs leadership role to catalyse, integrate and deliver sustainability education initiatives. You can also expect to work on:

For this role, weâre looking for experienced teachers, facilitators or sustainability champions who have proven leadership skills and expertise in implementing environmental education for sustainability programmes in schools.
You will be resilient, adaptable, positive and relish engaging and enabling communities! Youâll also be open minded and customer-focused; inspiring schools and community partners to work together to promote and commit to sustainable communities and kaitiakitanga.
