Activation Advisor

Activation advisors play a key role in inspiring Aucklanders to be more active, more often!

This role provides a conduit between local boards, council, and community sport and recreation groups, projects and programmes that increase activation and improve social cohesion.

You will have a particular focus within this space on working directly with the five southern local boards of Franklin, Papakura, Manurewa, Māngere – Ōtāhuhu, and Ōtara – Papatoetoe.

He kōrero mōu: About you

• We’re looking for an individual with a passion for working with Māori, Pasifika and the wider community.
• Knowledge of the South Auckland area is essential.
• Experience in working with local government, local boards will make you stand out as an applicant for this role
• You’ll be a team player with excellent communication skills, but you will also be comfortable managing your own work programme.
• This role involves influencing, facilitating conversations, and building strong relationships with our many stakeholders and delivery partners, so your abilities here will be evident.
• You should also show an ability to prepare reports and feel comfortable with presenting.
