He angitūtanga: The Opportunity
In this role, you have the incredible opportunity to work closely with our esteemed Project Management team and Product Owners. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that projects are prioritized, assessed for value, and scheduled on our Product Roadmaps.
You will assist in planning activities for our diverse portfolio of projects, aligning them with our organizational strategies, systems, and processes. Collaborating with key stakeholders across the organization, you will facilitate the co-design, implementation, and delivery of Tātaki Auckland Unlimited projects, systems, and processes. Your expertise will ensure stakeholders are engaged at the right time through effective methods, making them feel included in the design, delivery, and embedding process. By building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, you will effectively manage the project team’s reputation. You will establish robust methods for overseeing project operational and financial benefits, serving as a subject matter expert and advocate for industry best practices in efficient program and project management. Additionally, you will identify any additional expertise requirements and coordinate with key stakeholders and business owners accordingly.

We are seeking a highly experienced professional with a track record of delivering complex projects and programs involving diverse stakeholders over a period of 8+ years. Your expertise in driving business transformation and change programs, along with your understanding of end-to-end technical project management processes and proven methodologies, will ensure successful project outcomes. Your participation in strategic initiatives across various disciplines, coupled with formal training and/or professional qualifications in Project Portfolio, Programmes of Work, and Project Management (certifications such as CAPM, PMP, Prince 2, Agile, or similar), demonstrate your commitment to excellence. With a proven financial aptitude for identifying, quantifying, and tracking benefits, as well as extensive experience using project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices (such as Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira, or similar), you will be a valuable asset to our team.
To excel in this role, you must possess outstanding communication and time management skills, along with a knack for problem-solving and decision-making.
