Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Our Pacific Health’s cultural support service is provided by a small, dynamic and culturally competent team with a focus on fostering relationships, supporting and empowering Pacific patients and their families whilst they are in our care at Te Toka Tumai Auckland hospital. We work collaboratively with services across to ensure we serve Pacific people with care and compassion advocating on their behalf and respecting their culture, values and beliefs.
You will be provided full training and support to successfully transition into the role. This role is also an opportunity to work with the wider teams at Pacific Health to help our people achieve and maintain good health and wellbeing outcomes.
Our work is aligned with broader goals of the health and disability sector which is improving Pacific health outcomes and achieving health equity.

We welcome applications with the following requirements: (1) You must have at least Level 3 Health related NZQA qualification and relevant working experience; (2) Demonstrate a willingness to engage with Pacific patients; (3) Knowledge and fluency of a Pacific island language; (4) Demonstrate competency in a Pacific island culture; (5) Demonstrate collaboration and consultation skills; (7) Demonstrate ability to work independently or a member of a team etc.
