Auckland Health Jobs Looking for Procurement Officer at Penrose, Auckland Full Time

HealthSource NZ supports the Northern Region’s DHBs by providing finance, procurement, supply chain, data and payroll services. As an independent organisation, we partner seamlessly with the District Health Boards, ensuring that critical services and products are available to hospitals with minimum fuss and with maximum efficiency.

About the role

You will be responsible for providing support to the HealthSource Northern Region Procurement team by providing a range of procurement functions for current COVID related “at risk” clinical products and services within HealthSource.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Sourcing of products and/or services
  
• Negotiate commercials (such as price, total cost of ownership, freight etc) as appropriate
• Perform pricing analysis to support the procurement strategy
• Develop and manage customer and supplier relationships
  
• Manage communications with customers/suppliers as required
• Managing contract and supplier performance to ensure compliance and actively drive cost and improve efficiency in the end to end supply chain to benefit the DHBs

About You

We are looking for a self-motivated problem solver with strong financial literacy and an affinity with numbers. You will also possess the following skills and experience:

• 2+ years commercial experience
• 2+ years relationship management experience
• 2+ years analytical experience
• Experience in using business tools (such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word) to analyse and report on activities
• Proven ability to build and maintain effective business relationships
• Knowledge of market and business drivers
• Financial literacy and an affinity with numbers
