Aurec Hiring for Software Engineer Job at Canberra, Australia Full Time

We are looking to engage a skilled and enthusiastic Software Engineer to join our Federal Government client! The perfect candidate will have excellent communication skills and have the ability to work honestly and collaboratively within their multi-disciplinary team and liaise with diverse stakeholders.

You will have an opportunity to make a strong difference throughout this 9 month contract with up to 24 months of extensions offered. Australian Citizens are desirable for this role.

Duties:

• Undertaking system configuration and enhancements to the Portfolio Management Information System (PMIS);
• Collaborating with ICT Delivery Leads to implement integration between the PMIS and relevant corporate systems;
• Preparing plans for, and executing data conversion and migration paths;
• Working with ICT to ensure data security measures are maintained for the PMIS;
• Designing, building and deploying executive, governance and operational reports.
• High level solution design and system roadmaps;
• SSRS and Power BI reports;
• Input into the PMIS Architecture overview.

Qualifications / Experience:

• Development skills and experience in Microsoft SharePoint Server 2016 and Project Server 2016
• Strong report development skills using SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) with experience in developing executive, operational and governance reports
• Experience in ETL development using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
• Experience with data conversion and data migration planning and execution
• Ability to initiate opportunities for continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies in processes and systems
• Demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels with clarity and precision with proven negotiation and strong analytical, problem solving skills and business acumen.
• Ability to develop and maintain productive working relationships
• An understanding of project and program management methodologies and key practices such as benefits, dependency and work package management
• Experience and familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Azure DevOps
• Working knowledge and experience of PnP PowerShell Script
• Understanding of cyber security requirements and government data security classifications.
