Aurecon Looking for Associate/Design Manager, Highways at Tauranga Central, Bay of Plenty Full Time

We are looking for an experienced Associate-level Design Manager who is capable of leading large multidisciplinary design teams, delivering complex design solutions under a range of contractual conditions. This role requires a technical background, an excellent understanding of the design process, and the ability to motivate and lead large teams of people.

What will you do?

You’ll be a key part of our successful New Zealand Transport team based in our Tauranga office. This growing team works on a range of projects, delivering digital, sustainable, and innovative solutions to our clients and contractor partners. Key clients would be Waka Kotahi and Tauranga City Council (TCC), and projects would include major cycleway, highway, and multimodal city-shaping projects.

You will be building our team further in Tauranga to meet our growing project demands and implementing our differentiating strategies for the benefit of our clients.

• Lead delivery for significant New Zealand infrastructure projects in and from Tauranga
• Utilise cutting-edge delivery technology and techniques – digital engineering and innovation
• Implement the latest sustainability thinking throughout your project delivery
• Take an active role in developing our business with our clients
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Manage, guide, and mentor more junior team members
• Actively and continuously look to learn and improve your own skills with our support
