You’re in the right place. We’ve been a leading design, engineering, and advisory company for decades. So why choose Aurecon? It really comes down to one, crucial question: what kind of world do you want to create for the next generation? The truth is the decisions being made right now will determine the future of everything – from the local community to the sustainability of our clients’ businesses, to the entire planet. One of those decisions is: who do you decide to work for?
What’s the mahi / role?
At Aurecon we are on a journey to transform the way that we engage with our communities and clients. We are looking for an outcome driven, highly organised Executive Assistant to assist our Buildings Lead NZ on projects, daily activities and supporting the wider NZ Buildings team. You will be a trusted partner and confidant to the Buildings Lead, agile and constantly (re)prioritising, calm and confident in this fast-paced environment. You will be a steady influence and will have the experience to realistically judge the capacity of the Buildings Lead and assess priorities.
While we’ll also need you to tackle the traditional EA tasks such as diary and inbox management, credit card reconciliations, meeting coordination and minute taking, you will have the opportunity to work on Aurecon’s key initiatives and programs, manage and coordinate events, bring creativity and unconventional thinking to your work and showcase your ability to juggle changing and conflicting priorities. You will be an active learner, strong communicator, natural networker and someone who truly enjoys helping people achieve their goals.
What are we looking for from you?
We know the work we do is vital in assisting our world’s economic development and, it’s the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.
What’s in it for me?
Joining Aurecon means you’ll be at the award-winning edge of innovation and sustainability. The Australian Financial Review (AFR) ranked us Top 5 among sustainability leaders and Top 3 of all Australasian innovative companies in professional services. In 2022, we made LinkedIn’s 25 Best Workplaces to Grow Your Career and we received three gold and two silver awards at the Association of Consulting and Engineer New Zealand (ACE NZ) awards.
We Don’t Just Claim That We’re Inclusive And Innovative, It’s Proven By The Independent Awards And Accreditations We’ve Gained, And We’re Always Seeking New Ways To Prove (and Improve) Our Commitment To Diversity
You really can bring your whole self to work and be confident that your voice will be heard.
On a personal level, you’ll have access to competitive remuneration, a 4% employer KiwiSaver contribution, flexible work hours and locations, working holidays, and remote work options. When it comes to your development, you’ll be supported at every step of your career journey with mentoring, leadership training, and our Aurecon U and Career Hub. Outside of work, you’ll be further supported with highly competitive paid parental leave, cultural public holiday swaps, one of the best employee (and their whanau) wellbeing platforms in the country, and more!
Ready to bring ideas to life?
Then please apply now! Please provide a CV with a covering letter outlining why we need to meet you!
We are an equal-opportunity employer that values diverse perspectives and the contribution that every one of our people makes to our culture. Put simply, we want you to be yourself!
We know that people from under-represented backgrounds are less likely to apply for roles where they don’t match all the advertisement criteria exactly – if this advert has piqued your interest and your experience doesn’t align 100% then we still want to hear from you and encourage you to apply. Remember, it’s you and how you bring ideas to life which are important.
Your background, unique needs, and individuality will be valued here. We want to ensure that you are well supported so that our recruitment process is fair, equitable, inclusive and accessible to every body. Please let us know if there are any adjustments or support that we can offer to make the recruitment process more accessible to you.
