Aurecon Looking for Junior Civil Structures Modeller at Tauranga Central, Bay of Plenty Full Time

We have an excellent opportunity available for a Civil Structures Modeller to join our team, to be based in Tauranga. You may have recently finished studying, or you could have a few years’ experience as a Civil Modeller under your belt already. Either way, we’re keen to support you on your journey while you broaden your knowledge and experience in creating effective civil designs, centred around civil structures and bridges.

What will you do?
As a Civil Structures Modeller, you will work within our team of infrastructure engineers in a multidisciplinary office in Tauranga. You will be involved in the design and modelling supporting a variety of transport projects in the Bay of Plenty and Waikato regions. We know the work we do is vital in assisting with economic development and it’s the technical expertise and the depth of knowledge of our people that really sets us apart. Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’:

• Support senior drafters on projects from inception to construction
• 3D modelling
• 2D drawing outputs including set out and reinforcement detailing

What can you bring to the team?
Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future.

• Drafting experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3d, 12d, open road or similar modelling/drafting platform will be highly advantageous, however we are willing to train up the right candidate
• Revit knowledge would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
• Intermediate computer skills: word, excel would be advantageous
• You’ll be passionate about engineering and working in a digital workspace – our team is looking to push boundaries and try new digital pathways and technology
