Aurecon Looking for Rail Engineer at Auckland CBD, Auckland Full Time

We are looking for a Rail Engineer to join our team to support on a variety of key rail projects. Based in Auckland in the Transport Service Group, you will work as part of the wider team bringing your engineering expertise to our projects.

Here are the key things you will do to bring ideas to life:

You will be involved with general civil design and construction supervision of rail infrastructure projects including pavements, drainage, rail track and formation, minor structures, retaining walls, station infrastructure, earthing and bonding and level crossing safety assessments.

• Design and integration of Stations, Depots and Maintenance Facilities (which could include City Rail Link, Drury Stations, Henderson station, depot projects and bridge renewals)
• Assist in the production of technical deliverables in the areas of railway track and civil engineering
• Collaborate with other disciplines to produce high-quality project deliverables for technically complex designs of railways and associated civil infrastructure
• Prepare and submit reports, studies, and models to support business decisions
• Maintain client relationships at the project and local market levels and promote business development opportunities

• Experience with railway planning and design, especially track alignment, railway earthworks and inter-relationship of track & civil disciplines with drainage, geotechnical, structures, and associated disciplines across all stages of a project
• A relevant tertiary qualification
• Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
