Description:
Performing system monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and escalating issues, including proactive problem resolution and complex problem analysis as necessary, to maintain system performance to meet user demand
Reducing operational risk and improve the availability of the server, network infrastructure and services by ensuring system access, monitoring, control, evaluation and documentation practices are maintained and adhered to
Developing, maintaining and performing operational procedures and ensure operational tasks are performed reliably and consistently to reduce the risk of unplanned outages
Collecting and analysing operational data (especially incident and change records) to identify emerging trends and log problem records to assist with problem resolution and increased server/service availability
Anticipating and responding to customer requests for productivity applications, technologies, and devices to provide timely installation, maintenance, support and optimization, specifically relating to the Digital Sense Service Catalogue
Maintaining inventory and asset configuration documentation
Applying structured problem-solving strategies and techniques to identify, analyse, evaluate, and implement solutions

Skills and Experiences:
A degree qualification in computing, information technology, or equivalent qualification in a field relevant to the position from a recognized tertiary institution
2-4 years working in an customer facing enterprise environment with mature incident, problem, change, and release management principles in place
Appropriate technical knowledge, experience, and industry certification as relates to:

Virtualisation – vSphere suite inc. NSX, vCentre, vROPS, Cloud Director, Horizon DaaS 9

Microsoft – Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, Exchange, Office 365

Infrastructure – HPE Synergy, Fujitsu, Dell, NetApp HCI or equivalent

Storage – NetApp product portfolio including ONTAP Cluster Mode, SolidFire/ HCI, StorageGRID, AltaVault.

Data Protection – Veeam, Commvault, Zerto, Rubrik

Security

ITIL V3/4 Foundation certificate
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
