Customer Experience and Digital?

The purpose of Customer Experience and Digital is to create products that people love and trust, while delivering a sustainable future for Australia Post. The business unit is responsible for managing and transforming our enterprise products, innovation and digital capability. The five key areas that Customer Experience and Digital is responsible for include Customer Services, Digital and Data, Data Science, Identity Products & Services and Payments & Financial Services with Portfolio Strategy, Innovation and Engineering providing technical expertise across these portfolios.

What does the role involve?

Working as part of SecurePay’s DevOps practice, to deliver and operate a number of high-performing payments platforms and support the shape its future.

The DevOps engineer is responsible for the development tooling, applications, and platforms that SecurePay and Australia Post operates for their customers. The role helps maintain existing business-critical infrastructure and implement and continuously improve development and delivery practices for our tools, platforms, and patterns.

Major Accountabilities:

• Support delivery teams with new and innovative solutions that will delight Australia Post’s customers.
• Implement, maintain and evolve technologies and capabilities that make up the application platform used for SecurePay and Australia Post’s solutions.
• Support, maintain and enhance the development tools used by delivery teams.
• Continue to support and develop the companies DevOps frameworks.
• Maintain the security and compliance of the development tools and application platform.

Essential Experience:

Technology:

• Degree qualification in IT, software engineering or related field is desirable.
• AWS Infrastructure (EC2, Lambda, S3, VPC, KMS, API Gateway, Cloud Formation)
• Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools and processes.
• Familiarity with:
  • Puppet / Terraform
  • Java, C# or Python
  • New Relix / Application Monitoring
  • Splunk
  • On-Prem VMWarre / Linux

Exposure:

• At least 3 years + working experience as a DevOps Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer role.
• Experience working in a financial / high transactional environment with cloud technologies
• Broad experience in systems automation, orchestration, deployment, and implementation at a large-scale.
