The Energy & Resources (E&R) Program is responsible for delivering $335m of impact and value to improve the safety, reliability, resilience and productivity of the energy and resources sectors in Australia and the Asia-Pacific Region.

We are seeking an IT professional to develop, produce and deliver product and service offerings within the E&R Program. The product and service offerings may be multi-disciplined and will involve working with colleagues across several Programs of the Bureau including managing technical input from areas such as information systems and services, research and operational forecasting.

The Backend Developer will also contribute to the development and implementation of new products and services that utilise new technologies to support the uplift of E&R IT systems, products and services.

The Backend Developer will work under the direction of the Solutions Lead and the E&R IT Manager to develop new and existing offerings and improve resilience of products to the energy and resources sector. The Backend Developer will also provide ongoing support and maintenance of the essential E&R IT systems.

This position would suit an applicant who has a high degree of initiative and problem solving with the ability to self-manage, good communication and time management skills and experience establishing strong working relationships.
