The Application Support Team are the technical managers a collection of the Bureau’s business hours support applications that service our Weather, Climate and Agriculture & Water operations teams. Reporting to the Manager Application Support Services, the successful candidate will be expected to assist with technical maintenance and support of a suite of applications, this includes working with the business areas to:
- Investigate, troubleshoot and solve technical incidents
- Deliver automation of support services
- Create and maintain documentation and training materials
- Support and optimise existing systems.
- Bring into production new systems
The successful applicant will possess strong technical capabilities, excellent interpersonal skills and a strong customer focus. They will be expected to work under limited supervision and deliver high quality results. The ability to be highly proactive and flexible is essential. The candidate will have well established teamwork skills, ability to follow set processes, a passion for working with people and a customer-centric approach.
