Our opportunity

Work with staff across our business units to support existing mobile applications, both in house and vendor built.

Support projects as they seek to deploy vendor provided mobile applications and look for opportunities to further expand the in house mobile application usage.

Govern the use of mobile applications in Australian Unity and maintain our public app store presence.

What you will do

• Participate in providing accurate estimations for work and take ownership to meet those estimations
• Champion operational best practices by ensuring continuous improvement in our code bases, deployment pipelines and monitoring solutions.
• Ensure relevant documentation is concise, fit for purpose and delivered timely to ensure business knowledge is captured appropriately
• Take shared ownership in ensuring our mobile guidelines and best practices are up to date and fit for use
• Mentor peers and juniors to assist in uplifting their capabilities and help ensure they deliver quality solutions

About you

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related discipline
• Understanding of Apple Human Interface Guidelines
• Working knowledge of Android features, limitations and development methodologies
• Experience in creating automated deployment pipelines, packaging and signing Android/iOS mobile applications
• Working knowledge of documentation, coding, testing and deployment using multiple development languages and platforms
• Demonstrable understanding of security best practices and track record of keeping up to date on latest threats and their mitigation
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply them in the role
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills
• Working knowledge of Agile software development
