Position Overview
The Autodesk Employee Communications team is on a mission to inform, inspire and enable Autodesk employees worldwide. We are passionate storytellers and advocates for our company culture, and as part of Autodesk’s People & Places organization, we are also champions of the employee experience. We collaborate with leaders, teams and communications partners across the company to drive employee awareness, alignment and engagement with the company’s strategic priorities.
Responsibilities
As the leader of the employee communications team, you will:
Lead a team responsible for the development and execution of Autodesk’s internal editorial content strategy and for the development of strategic communications for Autodesk’s People & Places organization
Partner and collaborate with internal stakeholders and communications professionals across the company to ensure that program-related communications are effectively distributed and amplified across the organization
Provide executive communications support and partnership to Autodesk’s Chief People Officer as well as communications consulting to other members of Autodesk’s People & Places leadership team
Serve as an advocate for the “employee voice” to senior leadership
Minimum Qualifications
You have 15+ years or equivalent of relevant work experience in communications
You have a proven track record in developing and executing strategic communications plans and leading a team of communicators to achieve strategic objectives
You are an exceptional writer, copy editor and coach with the skill to distill complex content into clear and engaging people-centered communications
You are a people-person with excellent presentation skills and presence
You are a strategic and creative thinker comfortable debating and defending your ideas
You are a strong storyteller with the ability to create compelling narratives in support of our business strategies
You have strong organizational skills and business acumen
You possess the ability to influence across functions, geographies and levels, and the ability to work with various stakeholders and teams to drive alignment and collaboration
You are an innovative self-starter and enable that mindset in the teams you lead
Strong attention to detail with a strategic mindset
Skilled in PowerPoint and other elements of the Microsoft Office Suite; you can build your own presentations without heavy reliance on internal or external design support
You are capable driving results both independently and in collaboration with others
You can manage workload, be flexible and proactive, multitask, work under deadlines, and ensure quality and accuracy
Experience with executive and external communications a plus
Above all, you have an optimistic spirit, a hunger for context and a “make it happen” attitude
