Job SummaryUnder limited supervision, sell a specific product, service line, or solution that within another sales representative’s territory. Act as subject matter expert to drive revenue, focusing on certain products or solutions. Partner with inside/outside sales representatives to assist in closing complex and/or technical sales that require additional expertise. Train/coach territory sales teams on technical knowledge related to specialty products/services to allow them to ultimately sell without assistance. May act as technical expert within the organization to contribute to the development of technical presentations and product strategy. Attend industry events, technical training classes, and professional organization meetings.

What You’ll Do:
You will be the acting as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for products within the controlled environment workflows, working work in partnership with general sales teams to provide expertise on products. You will build out a business plan and strategy to execute that will maximize the impact you have in your territory. You will meet with customers, presenting total cleanroom solution offerings, and assisting the general sales teams to pull through sales for the products you support. You will work to understand the individual value proposition that you can drive for each of your external customers and then you will work to put that plan into action, identifying new business opportunities and assist in converting competitive products to items available from Avantor/VWR You will also understand and support the needs of your internal customers (general sales team) by training and motivating them to understand and sell the total controlled environment portfolio of products.

Qualifications include…
College degree or equivalent/applicable experience
3-5 years of experience working in/supporting production activities in a controlled environment
Must have a firm understanding of and experience within the controlled and critical environment applications within the pharmaceutical, medical device, diagnostic, and/or microelectronic industries
Strong collaboration and teamwork required
Ability to drive results required
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills required
Strong communication, organizational, time/territory management skills required.
Ability to effectively implement programs, recognizes opportunities, communicates ideas, and acts with little direction in a fluid and matrixed environment required.
Sales experience preferred.
Experience with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
Experience with a CRM such as SalesForce preferred.
Overnight travel is required.
