Averitt’s Freight Clerks play a vital role in helping us serve our customers by providing administrative support on the dock and/or in dispatch.

Position works Monday thru Friday with a 4:00 p.m. start time. Salary is $24.35 per hour.

Freight Clerk Job Description:
Assist with facilitating dispatch and/or load assignments on the dock
Handle customer requests
Track shipments
Data Entry
Complete required reporting
Maintain regular, predictable attendance

Valid Driver’s License
Transportation and/or warehouse shipping/receiving experience
LTL experience preferred
AS400 experience preferred
Ability to work in an open dock environment subject to the elements
