Salary Scale: €29,249-€46,968(pro rata)

Avista provide Residential, Day Services and respite services to people with an Intellectual Disability. We are looking for candidates who are committed to supporting people with disabilities and their families, in a person centred, community based, socially inclusive manner in accordance with our core values and ethos and underpinned by quality, best practice and research.

The successful candidate will provide an effective administrative support to the Adult Mental Health and Child adolescent services in intellectual disability. The post holder will ensure excellence in respect of customer service, communications and interpersonal skills together with ensuring total flexibility in all aspects of the role.

Essential Criteria:

• Leaving Certificate or FETAC Level 5 Office Administration is essential

• Thorough working knowledge of all aspects of Microsoft Office

• Excellent telephone manner with experience of managing queries from families, external agencies and members of the public

• Experience of office management processes; organising appointments, file management systems

• Experience working in a busy environment and capability to multitask

• Self-motivated and willing to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative

• Excellent interpersonal, planning, organisational, communication, problem solving and time management skills

• Managing and updating electronic filing and tracking systems

• Understanding of the core values of Avista.
