AYIGROUP Looking for Software engineer Django / Ruby at Chicago, IL Full Time

Looking for 2 mid-level engineers to start with, here’s a description of ideal candidate

• 3+ years of experience as a backend or full-stack engineer working with a modern web framework (ideally Ruby on Rails, which is what the client is using but they are open to folks with experience with Django, Laravel, Node, NextJS, etc)
• Experience, or at least familiarity, with core concepts around unit testing and integration testing
• For more backend-focused candidates, some basic familiarity with core web concepts (HTML, CSS, basic Javascript) is desired
• Fluent in both written and spoken English
• Semi- to fully-autonomous when completing tasks; willing and able to ask questions when they need clarification or become stuck

Client’s tech stack Ruby on Rails, Postgress, VanillaJS.

Here’s what engineers will work on in the coming months

• Building integrations with numerous 3rd party websites and tools, either via RPA/scraping (probably most common) or via API
• Maintaining and troubleshooting existing integrations
• Building our fairly basic CRUD functionality for managing vehicles, drivers, orders/loads, expenses, revenue, and users; may include building out basic data visualizations using Highcharts or similar
• Building and maintaining Chrome/Edge browser extensions, and potentially an Outlook plugin as well
