We are looking for experienced Software Engineers to join our technology-based program supporting a key government customer. This program will deliver engineering services for network infrastructure as well as sophisticated enterprise computing infrastructure including end-point devices, data center hosted servers, multi-Cloud services as well as virtualized applications, and storage systems. Enterprise Computing Engineering services include modern application technology including containerized solutions with orchestrated workflow that function both on customer premise, and via remote Cloud services. Network infrastructure engineering services are comprised of core infrastructure, voice and video engineering, field engineering, application management and development for networks, network analytics, firewalls, network access controls and bandwidth service delivery.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

We are actively seeking Software with a minimum of 6 years’ experience. Bachelor’s or Master s Degrees are preferred in one or more of the disciplines described below where specific skills may include the following:

Responsibilities include:

• Integrate a COTSapplication in a cloud environment (Amazon Web Services)

• Provide software engineering support for other development initiatives

• Develop and deploy bug fixes to address system problems, when needed

• Troubleshoot application/database issues and implement corrective actions

• Perform security scans and address findings

• Perform routine audit log inspections per approved security plans

• Track and renew service certificates

• Manage and respond to Cloud monitoring alerts (CloudWatch)

• Analyze database performance and recommend corrective and preemptive actions

• Develop design and operational documents for supportedapplication.

• Document testing and maintenance of system corrections

Required Skills

• Experience using Amazon Web Services (Lambda, S3, RDS, Cloud Formation, APIs, etc.) to perform web development in the cloud environment

• I ntermediate to advanced Python programming and/or Python scripting experience

• Experience in Agile development

• Experience using GitHub and Jenkins CI/CD tools

• Database administration experience (relational database SQL, MYSQL, PostGres, etc.)

• Ability to work independently

• Ability to identify issues and implement correction actions

• Knowledge of database port security

• Experience with database performance monitoring and querying

• Database backups and restoration

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification

• Familiarity with Elastic / Kibana
