Responsible for building and leading a team to deliver technology products and services that meet business outcomes. Ensures people development through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and hands-on career development. Develops a technology strategy and ensures technology solutions comply with applicable standards. This role advocates and advances modern, Agile solution delivery practices and evangelizes great design, engineering and organizational practices. Accountable for team/program level resource and financial management; builds and maintains teams through talent acquisition. Sets maturity objectives and enables individuals/teams to with training & resources to achieve them. Sets and tracks quality and performance objectives. Facilitates performance and career development of individuals through performance reviews, coaching, and building individual development plans that are needed to develop competencies and skills. Understands individual and team maturity and performance through team/client feedback. Manages relationships with the business and technology leaders, and vendors for technical products. Accountable for solution delivery management as relevant to their teams e.g. prioritizing tech debt, compliance and security items, and supporting audits. Accountable to ensure all relevant risk, financial, and compliance polices and standards are met. Accountable for the application performance in production (app health, resiliency, performance, security, enterprise data management standards, audit exams and reviews). Creates the technology strategy for their technical domain. Ensures that execution is aligned with product strategy by working with Product Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders. Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment, and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers. Leads and creates followership in Communities of Practice in the organization. Manages a team.
Network Services Operations organization is seeking a leader to operate Network Tools and Applications as part of Bank of America’s global NOC. The primary mission of the NOC is to ensure stability of the Bank’s Network by detecting business impacting incidents and restoring service when disruptions do occur.
Coming from a technical background, you will have a deep understanding of network technologies and an appreciation of how they come together to serve our lines of business. You will have led an Operations function previously and enjoy the fast-paced, high stakes thrill of developing world class teams and processes in supporting of a highly critical infrastructure.
You enjoy working on multiple streams of work with competing priorities and building relationships with senior leaders, line of business representatives and peers where you can be known as a trusted partner. Your leadership will result in development of best practices and operational standards consistent with a mission critical set of applications. You have a drive for getting things done and are known for leaving nothing to chance – spotting unknown dependencies and proactively circumventing issues before they arise.
You are willing to challenge conventional thinking and traditional ways of operating global networks with a focus on moving towards automated restoral of incidents and telemetry driven solutions while also maintaining a balance between innovation and pragmatism when determining the practical application of new ideas.

Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Global Head of Network Operations in AMRS
Part of a global team partnering with your peers in the UK, US, SGP and IN to provide unrivalled and uninterrupted network support for Bank of America globally
Develop best practices and set operational standards for running software-centric Network Products and Tools while also influencing operational best practices across the NOC.
Work with your peers across Networks to build SLAs, SLOs and also negotiate responsibilities for support of Network Products and tools
You will have to work across your peer group and be comfortable matrix managing global teams to drive operational excellence
You must be comfortable building and developing strategies that can be presented to senior executives
Be globally responsible for ensuring Network Operations is exceeding the enterprise requirements for Event, Incident, Problem and Change Management standards for your organization
Focus on the reduction of Mean time to restore (MTTR) through the development of people, processes, and tools
Effectively communicate process opportunities and plans to senior leaders in Networks, Risk partners, Application Support teams and the lines of business as required
Driving continuous improvement of operational procedures and find opportunities for automation of manual tasks
Required Skills:
Minimum 12 years of experience required with at least 5 years of experience managing a team of engineers in an Operations environment
Experience with building and running distributed systems in a highly virtualized environment
Experience leading teams that support both custom developed and third-party software products
Demonstrated the ability to support multiple components within an application/infrastructure/software
Worked for a large enterprise or financial institution in a multi-vendor environment
In-depth knowledge of Event, Incident, Problem and Change Management
Strong knowledge of networking communication principles, network standards, and practices
Capability to summarize complex issues into executive summaries
Strong business partnership skills – Able to build broad-based business relationships across the organization and positively influence colleagues
Familiar with production deployments within a global banking environment
Willing to work some irregular hours based on the needs of global operating model and the location of clients
Strong analytical skills with ability to identify gaps, challenge others with positive intent, and drive debate towards identification and remediation of underlying risks
Knowledge of regulatory risk management in Technology and Information Security domains
Unhappy with laborious manual processes and procedures, always looking for opportunities to drive efficiencies
Desired Skills:
Experience with a breadth of Network technologies, such as Router Switch, Firewall, Proxy, DDI, Load Balancing, AAA, etc
Experience with building and running distributed systems in a highly virtualized environment
Relevant Industry certifications in Network Technologies
Experience working in an Agile environment
