GMC Counterparty Credit Portfolio Manager

Job Description:
As a Portfolio Manager, you will analyze counterparty credit risk data to
design and maintain counterparty credit risk portfolio presentations and
reporting under the leadership of senior team members. The work
product of the Portfolio Manager will support a robust monitoring
environment and facilitate discussions with senior management and
business partners. You will work closely with Credit Officers to analyze
data and deliver key reports in order to gain insights. You will develop an
understanding of the Global Markets Credit product spectrum as you
analyze our Hedge Fund, Regulated Funds, and Central Clearing
Counterparties portfolio. The experience level of individuals in this role
typically ranges from seven to ten years. Associated role title includes
Portfolio Manager.
GMC Overview
Global Markets Credit (GMC) is responsible for ensuring a robust and
consistent credit underwriting process for Global Markets lending and
trading counterparty credit activities. GMC partners directly with Global
Markets front line unit teams in relation to client selection, structuring
and underwriting activities to drive revenue growth while maintaining appropriate risk disciplines. GMC also coordinates engagement with key control partners including Global Risk, Finance, Credit Review and Audit in accordance with our Risk Framework and internal and external standards.
What You’ll Accomplish
• Own and develop routine reporting and senior management presentations for the large, revenue generative GMC trading portfolios
• Perform routine and ad hoc analysis to support business objectives and distill into key themes
• Initiate exposure reporting based on expected or actual idiosyncratic events, sector moves or geopolitical events
• Articulate the GMC trading portfolio across segment, region, legal entity as applicable
• Understand the Asset Manager, Hedge Fund, CCP underwriting and monitoring requirements as drivers for data and reporting, including policies and procedures
• Coordinate and provide information and contribute to presentations to respond to regulatory and senior management requests
• Follow new initiatives to understand any resulting impact and requirements to support them
• Liaise with Enterprise Credit, Global Markets Credit, Risk, Operations, Technology and/or Finance partners to recommend data lineage and system improvements
• Support enterprise initiatives and partner with applicable stakeholders across the firm on emerging topics as needed.
• The scope of this role will also include support of the onboarding of Prime Brokerage counterparty credit underwriting through production of timely, robust reporting

• 7+ years of experience in analyzing and reporting counterparty credit risk or market risk data
• Proficiency with counterparty risk or market risk related bank systems
• Ability to join the dots across myriad systems and to design the most efficient path to obtaining key data elements
• Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency with writing SQL queries, using Alteryx and / or Tableau a plus
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with ability to quickly learn new programs and applications
• Personal drive, individual initiative, a sense of urgency, and responsiveness, with a willingness to grow, learn, and take on increasing levels of responsibility
• Desire to improve and streamline processes, and to troubleshoot independently.
