We have a great opportunity for a Senior Audit Manager with in depth financial crime experience to join our dynamic team. Leading the way in agile auditing, you will work closely with colleagues across the Bank of Ireland Group to provide ‘Independent Insight and Opinion’.

In this role, you will:
Work with the Audit Director to ensure that an appropriate Financial Crime assurance programme is devised and implemented to provide objective and challenging risk based assurance.
Act as a Subject Matter Specialist on Financial Crime and Compliance and the sub category risks which include Fraud, Money Laundering, Bribery & Corruption, Tax Evasion and Sanctions.
Lead internal end to end audit engagements in relation to Financial Crime from planning, risk assessment, fieldwork to reporting.
Deliver Audit Opinion on the effectiveness of risk management and the adequacy and effectiveness of the Group’s system of internal controls, ensuring effective sharing of lessons learned and standard methodology.
Support business divisions in identifying the appropriate actions required to address and improve risk management practices and internal control frameworks.
Obtain in-depth understanding of the key priorities, risks and challenges facing the Group.
What will make you stand out?
We are looking for someone with strong knowledge of Financial Crime and Compliance. This includes Fraud, Tax Evasions, Corruption & Bribery, Sanctions, AML, KYC, Transaction Monitoring and Ongoing Due Diligence gained through industry experience or working for a professional services firm.
You will need to have familiarity and understanding of applicable legislation and regulation to include Anti-Money Laundering Directives(4AMLD & 5AMLD). As well as Anti Money Laundering and Counter Financing of Terrorism Regulation 2018, Criminal Justice (Money Laundering & Terrorist Financing) Act 2010 and the equivalent legislation within the UK and US.
With proven ability to challenge management in an open and constructive manner while maintaining effective relationships you will also require strong attention to detail and be able to deliver high quality work within challenging timeframes and a dynamic environment.

As part of the Customer and Conduct Audit Team you will lead the design, development and delivery of the Group Internal Audit strategy for accountable Key/Sub Risks (Conduct Risk – Financial Crime).
We provide third line of defence assurance within the Retail Ireland and Corporate Banking & Markets divisions. We work with agility at all times, focussing on continuous improvement and delivering the highest ‘insight’ value, being flexible with approaches and strategies as needed.
This is a hybrid role and can be done anywhere in the Republic of Ireland with the primary office location as Dublin. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration – exact frequency to be agreed with manager.
