A Criminal Researcher is responsible for processing Public Records relating to pre-employment background screening applications. This position is responsible for working within set guidelines to ensure minimal turnaround time and high-quality results on research requests.

Primary Job Functions:

• Perform record searches via various electronic court access systems

• Review and apply rules as indicated within account notes

• Review public access information, identifying reportable information and documenting results

• Review results returned from database searches to determine additional names and/or searches to be added

• Communicate with courts and other agencies, as needed, for further information

• Collaborate with the criminal research team and management to implement best practices to ensure quality results

• Additional job duties as assigned

• Data entry, as needed

Requirements:

• Ability to read, understand, and interpret Public Record information

• Ability to work well under pressure and multi-task well

• Excellent attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills

• Excellent customer service skills to maintain a client focused drive

• Maintain confidentiality

• Strong computer skills (web-based searches, Microsoft Office, etc.)

• Maintain high-quality work and performance that meets or exceeds quality goals

• Ability to work independently and as a team player

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Office Position, located in Rushville, Indiana
