Program Trading Index Analyst New York

As a Barclays Program Trading Index Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work with the Senior Index Analyst to run projections for rebalances and liaise with sales in delivering our best-in-class content after official index announcements. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your understanding of index methodology of major benchmark indices and how corporate actions impact composition of said indices, while working with internal and external stakeholders.

This role is regulated by FINRA.

What will you be doing?

Understanding index methodology of major benchmark indices (S&P, MSCI, Russell) and how corporate actions impact composition of said indices

• Helping to run projections for rebalances

• Producing index content – daily, weekly and monthly content

• Responding to bespoke client index requests

• Liaising with sales in delivering our best-in-class content after official index announcements

• Maintaining database of historical index data

  What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree

• 4 or more years of experience and a demonstrated understanding of index methodology

  Skills that will help you in the role:

• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work under time constraints

• Good interpersonal skills

• Strong Excel skills required, VBA and other coding skills preferred

• Experience in financial Markets

  Where will you be working?

  You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
