Start the New Year off with an amazing new job! Barclay’s Fine Jewellers is a leading family-owned boutique style jewellery store in Victoria, BC. We focus on custom jewellery design, restoration and repair. We also offer an extensive collection of beautiful, high-quality and high-end jewellery, wedding and engagement rings.

We are looking for a person to join our front-of-house repair intake team. This is a high-level and important job on our sales floor (training provided), dealing face-to-face with customers. There is no goldsmithing involved, but rather a number of administration/customer service tasks, offering the potential to marry your jewellery knowledge with customer involvement.This position requires working 5 days/week. Please detail any related experience or training involving jewellery, administration, retail sales or customer service.

A brief overview of duties is outlined below:

• Assist customers with intake of jewellery for repair and accurately record descriptions, photograph items, and describe work needed using specialized computer program (training provided). Follow up and perform administrative tasks associated with this, including presenting and discussing options and quotes with clients in a timely manner.
• Assist other staff members with custom design appointments, engagement/wedding consultations and other intakes.
• Perform administrative tasks relevant to repair work, documenting progress and following up with colleagues as necessary.
• Assist customers when picking up completed repairs, answering any questions and processing payment.
• Utilize repair knowledge to promote sales and make recommendations when applicable.
• Work within a team to complete daily tasks associated with store presentation and jewellery display.
• Communicate professionally in person, by email and by phone.
• Enter Point of Sale transactions accurately.
• Stay informed of store policies, procedures, and promotions.
