Barrington James recruiting for a highly skilled Software Engineer for a leading provider of software and AI solutions for the medical device industry. They are passionate about using technology to improve the lives of patients and healthcare providers. Within this role you will be assisting develop innovative SaMD and AI Surgical Robotics solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement SaMD and AI Surgical Robotics software applications using a variety of programming languages and technologies, including Java, C++, Python, and cloud computing platforms
• Develop and implement algorithms for AI-powered surgical tasks, such as image segmentation, pose estimation, and path planning
• Work with a team of engineers, scientists, and clinicians to integrate SaMD and AI Surgical Robotics software into clinical workflows
• Test and validate SaMD and AI Surgical Robotics software to ensure that it meets all regulatory requirements
• Participate in the full product development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on SaMD and AI Surgical Robotics
• Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and software architecture
• Experience with AI and machine learning techniques, such as deep learning and natural language processing
• Experience with surgical robotics systems and their underlying technologies
• Experience with cloud computing platforms and their security and compliance requirements
• Experience with medical device regulatory requirements and processes

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with SaMD software development standards, such as ISO 13485
• Experience with medical image processing and visualization
• Experience with surgical navigation and planning systems
• Experience with medical device software testing and validation
