South West Alliance of Rural Health (SWARH) aims to support health outcomes in these regions through centralised, expert, specialist Information Communication Technology services and strategic solutions for its member health services and customers. SWARH is a government-established joint venture; supplying ICT shared services to acute public hospitals and associated health services within the Barwon and southwest regions of Victoria, covering some 60,000 square kilometres

About the role

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for responding to – and resolving – software faults and enhancement requests related to business and clinical applications, extracts, reports and integrations that come through our ticketing system, or for new initiatives through our Project and Innovation channels.

You will provide architecturally sound, strategic and scalable solutions for frontend and backend development, collaborating with technical staff and clinical members in product and UX, evolving our internal framework and standards to meet the demands of our growing health sector.

Working with Members, Customers and stakeholders, the Software Engineer designs, develops, maintains, tests and evaluates software solutions in line with relevant frameworks and standards.

Essential: Tertiary degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent workplace development experience).
