The Web & Integration Developer brings additional capacity and capability to a busy application & integration development team within the Technology Operations department. The role supports the analysis of the needs of business, and developing solutions following existing architectural principles and team based approaches.

Bringing specialist knowledge of cloud based services related to application and data integration you will also assist the development team adopt improved and updated development workflows and technologies.

As Barwon Water works towards our Strategy 2030, you will be a player in ensuring Barwon Water’s applications are integrated seamlessly.

About You

The Web & Integration Developer is a problem solver who will join a team that supports a significant contribution for the Barwon Water Group. You will be comfortable working with a diverse portfolio of stakeholders and draw on your proven history of analysis, development and application integration to support ongoing business improvements in our departments.

You will have experience developing web applications using industry recognised technologies and frameworks such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST based API’s, JSON and database related technologies such as SQL. You enjoy coding robust solutions and Git based source control platforms (eg GitHub or BitBucket). With a strong eye for detail, your role will support how best to develop solutions that are interoperable and integrate to achieve optimal data sharing.

Ideally, you would bring a university degree and blend with experience in cloud based services that enable integration scenarios, such as Microsoft’s Azure Integration Services (for example, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid and Logic Apps) or AWS (API Gateway, EventBridge, SNS/SQS and Step Functions.
