Baseman Utility Consulting Services LLC Hiring for Bookkeeper at Remote Full Time

Baseman Utility Consulting Services LLC is a full-service small Civil Engineering firm providing engineering and permitting services primarily for Telecommunications Customers in the mid-Atlantic. We are based in the Baltimore, MD area and we are a small but growing firm looking to hire employees or contractors seeking to grow with the company. You will have the opportunity to set direction for the firm and build a foundation that is lasting.

Job Duties

• Standard bookkeeping duties including entering expenses, categorizing revenue and expenses, generating standard reports.
• Work with Project Managers and Administrative assistants to understand project workflow while creating Project Estimate, Purchase Orders, and Invoices.
• Ability to work within a Cloud Based Project Management software to accept tasks assignments.
• Create projects in the Quickbooks Projects Module and develop project reports including tracking expenses and revenue.
• Generate and send invoices to customers.
• Track past due invoices.
• Communicate with customers in a respectful manner to resolve past due invoices.
• Create checks to pay vendors.

Experience

• Three (3) years of experience or more bookkeeping with Quickbooks. Experience is preferred in the Civil Engineering industry.
• Experience must include Quickbooks Projects module including the ability to create projects, project estimates, send Purchase Orders, and send Invoices to customers.
• Experience dealing with many projects from many customers.
• Experience working with W-2 employees and 1099 contractors.
• Will perform accounting clerk duties as well including sending invoices to customers and tracking invoices that are past due.
• Requires experience with paying vendors by check, ACH, direct deposit.
• Experience with creating custom reports on a company and project basis.

Qualifications

• Communications are key. We are a remote company and we require those that we work with to communicate often and effectively over virtual calls. Don’t be afraid to overcommunicate.
• We use cloud based project management software that you must learn. This is how we communicate internally and track our projects including invoicing. A willingness to learn this software and to make it better is a necessity.
• We’re looking for a builder. You will have the opportunity to build new process and procedures while ensuring that our books are up-to-date and our project and company reportng are effectively informing the team and ownership on the financials of the company and projects.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $18.00 – $35.00 per hour
