About Your Role

As a PM focused on onboarding, your role revolves around crafting and executing strategies aimed at retaining our current customers throughout their entire journey. Your responsibilities extend to ensuring that our new clients encounter the finest experience while applying for loans, thereby propelling business growth through enhanced funnel efficiencies. This entails creating user onboarding processes that are not only intuitive, valuable, and satisfying from their first interaction with the product but also involves a deep comprehension of user needs and expectations. This understanding allows for pinpointing areas for improvement in the integration process and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to implement changes that maximize the perceived value for our customers.

Outcomes

Delivering Customer Value: Design and execute onboarding strategies that maximize value for customers from the moment they begin interacting with the product or service. This involves deeply understanding customer needs and ensuring that the integration process adds value and satisfaction to the user.

Conversation rate: consistently optimizing, monitoring, and evaluating the effects of the implemented improvements and hypotheses across all segments of the loan application funnel.

Deep Understanding of the Customer: This involves having a profound insight into the customers’ needs, behaviors, and desires. It’s about understanding what the customers truly want, even when they might not be able to articulate it themselves.

Deep Knowledge of the Data: Product managers should have a strong grasp of data analytics. This includes understanding the relevant metrics for the product, being able to interpret data correctly, and using this information to make informed decisions.

Deep Understanding of the Business: A product manager needs to comprehend how their product fits into the larger business strategy. This includes understanding the market, the competition, the revenue model, and how the product contributes to the overall goals of the company.

Deep Understanding of the Industry: This involves having extensive knowledge about the industry in which the product exists. This includes understanding the trends, the regulatory environment, the technology shifts, and how these factors can impact the product.

Business Impact: Measure and demonstrate how the onboarding process directly contributes to business objectives. This includes analyzing metrics related to customer retention, conversion, business growth, and other key indicators to assess financial and strategic impact.

Effective Collaboration and Communication: Work closely and effectively with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, design, marketing, and customer service, to ensure that the onboarding process aligns with the product vision and customer expectations. Additionally, communicate progress, challenges, and requirements effectively among different teams.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Use quantitative and qualitative data to guide decisions related to onboarding. This involves analyzing user data, evaluating customer behavior during the integration process, and using this information to iterate and continuously improve the onboarding process.

Day to day

• Active collaboration with development, design, and customer service teams to ensure alignment with onboarding objectives and visions
• Conducting data analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of onboarding and making decisions based on these findings
• Constant iteration in the onboarding process through testing, experiments, and incremental improvements
• Regular communication with stakeholders to report progress, challenges, and achievements related to onboarding. Researching best practices and trends in onboarding to apply them to the product strategy

Requirements

What you bring to the team

• Proficient in Agile, Scrum, or Lean Startup methodologies to drive iterative, customer-focused product development
• Ability to interpret data using tools like SQL, Excel, and Google Analytics to inform product decisions and track key metrics
• Experienced in managing the entire product lifecycle, from conception to launch, including market research and go-to-market strategies
• Proficient in project management tools like JIRA, Trello, or Asana, adept at prioritization and resource allocation
• Experienced in customer research techniques, translating insights into product features and enhancements
• Languages: English (advanced) and Spanish
