BAX LLC is a private accounting firm that provides payroll support, business management, accounting services from set-up to financial reporting, AR/AP systems, tax prep, retirement planning, HR-services and production accounting. We specialize in smaller business corporations, partnerships and service corporations in the entertainment industry.

Positions: Production Accounting Assistant and AP Manager

The following applies to all three positions in varying degrees:

Responsiblities

• PO and vendor invoice entry within production budgets, assist line producers and maintain vendor invoices
• Reconciliations, cash flow, budgeting and all financial reporting updates
• AP batching and payment scheduling
• Some light office management duties may be required
• Daily extensive use of Excel, GSheets, digital files and cross-platform conversions, database management and updates

Qualifications

• Knowledge/experience with accounting, bookkeeping and payroll compliance
• Ability to learn new systems/adapt to established business processes
• Interest and some experience with entertainment industry and production accounting
• Employees must be willing to be bonded and ins to sign non-disclosure agreements to maintain client privacy

Skillset

• Focus and attention to detail; understanding of databases is crucial
• Data entry accuracy and speed required, knowledge of budget actualization processes very helpful
• Self-motivated problem-solver, and time manager
• Above average computer skills
• Some experience with software for team management, payroll, accounting, tax preparation, or bookkeeping (e.g., QuickBooks, QBO, Mint, Wave, Quicken, Gusto, bill.com, ADP Run, Lacerte, Sage, Google Suite, MS Office, Excel, etc, Showbiz, Movie Magic, EP Budgeting)

• Comfort embracing and applying new tech; remote work and flextime encouraged
