HR Director (Talent Lead) Medical Devices PS
Main Purpose
This position as the Head HRBP for Global Medical Device PS
supporting the Global Head of PS for Medical Devices will serve as the trusted advisor to the leadership team and support the delivery of global strategies. The role and the team are responsible for delivering HRBP support for the 1870+ employees globally, with direct country accountability for 3 US sites (800+), along with site leadership responsibilities. This position provides strategic advice, leadership and coordination on Human Resources issues to meet  the objectives of the businesses Globally, with leading international HR BP teams and directly accountability to complete actions within the United States. This position must remain actively aware of global HR trends, regulations and environment to provide a comprehensive HR and talent picture to the  Medical Device Leadership team. This will require extensive collaboration with HR partners in Finland, Costa  Rica, Australia, Germany and China, along with any other future Medical Device interests.
The US and global responsibilities also include consultation in performance management, succession planning, management/training and development, strategic personnel planning for mergers, acquisitions,
joint ventures and divestitures within assigned client groups. The US responsibilities for this role include directing country specific aspects including employee relations, compensation, EEO, benefits, and recruiting.
The position ensures consistent application of corporate and subgroup policies, practices and procedures throughout the business units. The incumbent provides HR support in order to attract, retain and motivate qualified employees to achieve the business objectives. Ensures implementation and application of agreed upon HR policies. This position represents the needs of the business on HR policies and resolution of individual local and global HR issues. The incumbent will be required to operationalize HR strategy to business specific needs.
This position provides career development & talent management direction and support for a broad global organization.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities for this role, are to:
Provide leadership for global initiatives/processes and ensure  proper coordination between global and local for all Human Resource activities. Providing guidance and support to senior management in all areas of HR (talent acquisition, retention, compensation, benefits, training, development, motivation, organizational optimization and HR procedures), and lead both domestic and international HR teams on divisional decisions/strategies to ensure consistent direction for the MD PS network;
Establish the strategies for succession planning and talent management to drive business results across our Medical Device PS global leadership footprint; Partner with the business to identify talent gaps, enhance I&D initiatives, build organizational capability, align job requirements, and ensure competitive skills are maintained;
Implement workforce planning process to identify future needs and develop/implement staffing plans to support business continuity and growth; With a critical eye towards the creation and onboarding of our newest Costa Rica Greenfield facility, which is key for meeting Pharma’s sustainability commitment for WHC;
Mentor/coach Senior Executives to enhance leadership and managerial behaviors aligned with the LIFE values;
Proactively drive change management initiatives providing expert counsel and change management tools to leaders to successfully implement change. Â Establish and cultivate relationships to assist in building and maintaining strong, performance-based team environment across MD PS and ensure sister-site leadership/delivery is enabled for optimal network performance;
Provide guidance and expertise in Org Design in support of Pharma transformation, MD PS strategic objectives and future organizational structural changes;
Thorough understanding of the business and engagement with the business leaders, translate the business requirements and challenges into relevant HR actions and initiatives;
Ensure the implementation and application of agreed upon Bayer HR directives, policies, processes, systems and programs throughout MD PS and strive for best practices in the standardization, harmonization and alignment of local HR activities, but always with the business requirements in mind;
Effectively communicate HR products, perspectives, services, programs and policies to management and employees and implication on business strategies to enable understanding and value.

Required Qualifications and Competencies:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 15 plus years of HR experience recommended or Masters Degree with 13+ years of HR experience in areas of HR Â specialty with at least 5 years of generalist experience.
