BBC Bitesize is looking for a producer to play a pivotal role in the delivery of Bitesize. You will be managing an internal production team and working with internal and external partners, delivering media-rich and interactive content for the target audience. You will lead teams in the delivery of a KS3 programme of study and contribute to the Bitesize Secondary team’s work on KS3 and GCSE projects as required. You will have experience of creating digital learning content for the audience, a sound knowledge of the UK curricula, an ability to manage multiple projects to schedule and budget, practical experience of digital and interactive production and development, and excellent line management skills. You will also have experience of managing external suppliers, budgets and using audience insight and metrics. Key to the role is planning and scheduling, line-managing & developing staff and ensuring content is accurate, engaging and compliant.

Main Responsibilities

You will lead the team delivering a new programme of study in Maths for KS3 and work with the wider Bitesize Secondary team to develop editorial strategy for KS3 and GCSE content.
Are you the right candidate?
You will have experience in creating digital learning content for the audience, a sound knowledge of the UK curricula, an ability to manage multiple projects to schedule and budget, practical experience of digital and interactive production and development, and excellent line management skills.
You will have excellent editorial skills, including the ability to communicate complex and contentious subjects to young people with accuracy and to work with specialist educational consultants. You will also have experience of managing external suppliers, budgets and using audience insight and metrics. Key to the role is planning and scheduling, line-managing & developing staff and ensuring content is accurate, engaging and compliant.
