A new short story-writing competition for primary aged children will be launched next year which will aim to get children of all abilities excited about reading, writing and telling stories.
BBC Education is recruiting a Researcher to assist the Assistant Producer and Producer in the running of the competition and help develop and create digital content to inspire children of all abilities to take part.
Main Responsibilities
As part of a small but highly creative production team you will identify, research and develop content ideas to support the competition both online and on social. You will contribute to the delivery of the content across platforms, the running of the competition and provide support across all output as required.

Are you the right candidate?
As an experienced researcher you will be brimming with ideas, have excellent creativity skills, as well as the ability to thoroughly research your ideas, using audience data to inform them. You will also have the skills to originate and publish written & visual digital interactive content to inspire children to take part in the competition.
Key Skills:
Strong digital and written skills, with the ability to contribute to a range of digital activity and platforms and have excellent knowledge of content management systems such as isite & ibroadcast.
Proven track record in maintaining websites, troubleshooting and working within technical constraints
Experience of image creation and manipulation using Photoshop or other image editing
A collaborative and proactive team member, able to work effectively with internal and external partners to promote the competition and its content.
Have positive attitude and enjoy solving problems
Strong Communication skills
Audience focused – experience in creating digital content for young people
