IT Cloud Architect BCforward is currently seeking a IT Cloud Architect for one of our clients. Job Title : IT Cloud Architect Duration: 6 months – CTH Location: (Hybrid) -Minneapolis – MN Job Type: Contract to Hire Description : A world class manufacturer is looking for a contract, contract to hire or direct hire IT Cloud Architect. This individual will be part of a team that is responsible to develop, implement, optimize, and maintain both an on-premise and cloud-based solution of the technical domain. We are looking for someone to work with Senior Cloud Architects in developing the strategy that takes the organization to 6 weeks, 6 months and 6 years from now in cloud transition. This position will be responsible to design and maintain both systems to meet end user requirements, while also providing a secure environment accessible to authorized users. What Else Will You Do? * Collaborating with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud or on-premise solutions. * Modifying and improving existing systems to fit the needs of end users. * Designing, developing, and deploying modular cloud-based systems to meet business requirements. * Educating teams on the implementation of new technologies and initiatives. * Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements. * Ensuring efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security. * Identifying, analyzing, and resolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues. * Assist the Infrastructure team with issues within the datacenter. * Solve issues with performance or accessibility in a timely manner. * Diagnose and resolve unique, nonrecurring problems associated with application software and operating systems; determine the source of problems and classify their level, priority, and nature. What Education and Experience Should You Have? * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field, and at least 4-7 years of equivalent experience, with a focus on cloud engineering. We are not looking for a Senior Architect * Preference for Azure Cloud but open to AWS Cloud * Excellent communication skills, effective with varying organizational levels and skill sets. * Excellent relationship management and collaboration skills, with a track record of working as one team cross-organizationally to drive innovation and business results.
