BCforward is currently seeking highly motivated Lead Cloud Data Engineer for Hybrid opportunity in Chicago, IL 60603 n

? Position Title: Lead Cloud Data Engineer n

? Location: Chicago, IL 60603

? Expected Duration (possible extension): 4 Months C2H

Responsibilities: n

* Define the modern distributed data store architecture and design, leveraging a hybrid cloud environment, distributed data pipelines, and incorporating automated governance

* Research, evaluate and select tools (marketplace and in-house) to meet data management needs of modern data ecosystems deployed at scale

* Develop and implement data (DDD based) modeling, data engineering, data replication and data resiliency design standards for autonomy, agility and scale

* Solve large scale, highly complex business challenges that unlock the rapid, controlled consumption of the firms rich data assets

* Define Data Operations strategy and operating model for data security and test data management

* Collaborate with and influence product architects, engineers & delivery teams to adopt data engineering practices

Qualifications: n

* 5-10 hands-on experience with large scale, complex enterprise systems in a high availability, high volume, performant and distributed environment

* Deep expertise in Data Engineering capabilities involving architecture, modeling (physical and logical), data governance, storage, resilience, security and replication

* Deep experience around designing and building large scale secured data pipelines from ingestion to consumption, using Java, Python, Scala, etc.

* Command of architecture, design and business processes

* 3-5 years of solid experience in Cloud and Data Management Engineering, engineering solutions for Data Management

* 3-7+ years’ experience in managing Data in a Cloud Environment (AWS, Azure etc.,)

Developing and managing operations leveraging key event streaming, messaging and DB services such as Cassandra, Oracle, Aurora, Kafka, AWS Kinesis, Cloud Pub/Sub, etc.

* Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to justify requirements, features and demonstrate business value
