Role Description
The GFE PMO is looking for a Sr. Manager, Program Portfolio Management to develop and lead Portfolio planning and management supporting our Global Fales Enablement organization.
Key focus areas include: 1.) Implement leading PPM practices, methodologies and tools
2.) Develop and coach program management team, enablement business partners and delivery specialists on leading best practices
3.) Create processes and a governance framework for Quarterly Planning. You are an ideal candidate if you are a subject matter expert in portfolio management methods, metrics and tools; a leader who can own, foster and take the GFE PMO Program Portfolio Management vision, strategy and planning processes to the next level of maturity; a change agent who seeks and implements an incremental and empirical approach to scaling and streamlining program portfolio management process and reporting.
Primary Responsibilities
Partner with key business stakeholders to guide the selection, prioritization and balancing of portfolio components to ensure alignment with organizational strategy.
Liaise and collaborate with internal and external business partners on a monthly and quarterly basis to facilitate planning based on supply/capacity and demand.
Develop processes and tools for capacity planning.
Orchestrate and manage the Quarterly Planning Process.
Monitors analyze and proactively manage portfolio metrics, trends and risks
Provide key stakeholders with timely assessment of portfolio status and performance (schedule, cost, resources)
Assist decision makers with the review, reprioritization, and optimization of the portfolio.
Participate in program and portfolio reviews to reflect senior level support, leadership and involvement in important matters.
Oversee the Intake/Front Door Process for enablement requests.
Develop and coach analysts responsible for the intake process and provide reporting and analytics support.
Budget planning, management and evaluation for the Global Field Enablement organization.
Professional Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a Portfolio/Program Manager and a minimum of 10 years Project Management experience.
Demonstrated experience managing complex product portfolios in a fast-paced environment.
Theoretical and practical knowledge of Project and Portfolio Management techniques and methodologies.
Experience leading teams and developing people.
Demonstrated cross-functional leadership and ability to collaborate and influence in an ever-changing, global organization.
Experience in Strategic Planning and aligning objectives to detailed project plans for execution.
Sales Enablement, Sales Operations, Training Design and Delivery experience a plus.
Skills Required:
Self-starter who can effectively plan, design and program manage multiple cross-functional projects and thrive in ambiguous environments.
Able to think independently and consider cross-functional and downstream impacts.
Track record of establishing credibility with senior executives, and technical and non-technical team members.
Solid organizational skills, process oriented, results driven and attention to detail.
Excellent presentation skills and verbal and written communication skills across all levels.
Get it done attitude with a strong sense of team!
Proficiency in project management software tools.
Preferred:
PMP/PfMP/CSM/SAFe certification
Working knowledge of Agile
Understanding of Clients Product offerings.
Experience with Google (Sheets, Calendar, Slides, Gmail)
Experience with Quip, Slack
