looking for a Manger of Underwriting to provide leadership to a team of
professionals as the company seeks to provide more Idahoans with access
to affordable healthcare coverage. The role will lead a team to develop
pricing offers that support client retention and new business goals,
working in collaboration with internal and external partners. Establish
underwriting processes and procedures to ensure company objectives are
achieved and customers are satisfied. This role will report to the
Director of Underwriting at the corporate office in Meridian, ID.

To be considered for this opportunity, we are looking for:
*Experience: 7 years’ direct and relevant experience to include
leadership experience
*Education:* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (Two
years’ relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college)
*Here’s what your day may look like:

• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure that the
  organization offers contract terms that meet the needs of the
  customer and can be accurately and cost-effectively administered.
• Review plans and procedures regarding risk management,
  application, and renewal.
• Ensure that Department milestones/goals are met.
• Ensure integrity of underwriting activities and processes.
• Provide underwriting support to other areas within the
  organization.
• Conduct research, using risk assessment and financial modeling to
  make high-level decisions regarding risk exposure.
• Assist in preparing an annual operating budget that reflects the
  forecasted needs of the department and control expenditures to
  assure adherence to approved budgets.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable corporate, state and federal
  rules, laws, and regulations.
• Ensure effective workflows, maximizes system efficiencies,
  monitors quality performance measures and confirms appropriate
  completion of work assignments.
• Provide leadership guidance, counseling and continuing education
  to staff. Selects, develops, coaches, mentors, and assesses
  performance of staff.
• Interpret organization and government regulations affecting the
  functional area.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
