Beaufort County Developmental Center Hiring for Group Home Staff at Washington, NC Full Time

THIS IS A 7 DAY ON/7 DAY OFF LIVE-IN ONSITE SCHEDULE. STAFF ARE OFF 9-3 M-F. SHIFTS STARTS AT 3:00 pm ON WEDNESDAYS AND OFF AT 9:00am THE FOLLOWING WEDNESDAY.

Provide a home-like environment that is safe, clean and pleasant for all residents.

Teach and assist residents with daily living skills, helping each resident reach his or her highest level of functioning. This includes areas of skill related to personal hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, medication administration, etc.

Act as advocate for all residents, protecting their rights as citizens.

Complete all documentation related to medication administration, personal care, Medicaid services, ledger entries into financial records, residential goals, behavior logs, etc.

Assist in the preparation of “Individual Program Plans”, the evaluation process and complete all necessary documentation.

Assure that transportation needs are met.

Purchase groceries and supplies.

Be aware of compliance requirements for affiliate agencies such as the LME/MCO, the Department of Social Services, HUD, ARC/HDS, Department of Sanitation, State Division of Medical Services, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Group Home: 1 year (Required)
• Developmental disabilities: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver’s License (Required)
