Project Overview

This position is for an aviation project in Ireland. Bechtel will be working in an integrated team with our client to support the delivery of a Capital Investment Plan of circa €2bn within an operating airport environment at Cork airport.

The ideal candidate would be a team player capable of adaptation to an integrated team environment. A driven self-starter, confident, agile, articulate and capable of leading change by example. Collaborative and flexible to meet all the demands of the client.

Role Overview

The Document Controller will be responsible for supporting the programme team with all document storage, sharing and protocol. They will coordinate all programme documentation and will be a first point of contact for all documentation queries for the programme. The role holder will support the implementation of programme control tools, manage the programme document systems and provide general admin support to the programme team.

Main Responsibilities

• Populate document register, request for information register, action log, issue log and other project control tools as appropriate.
• Analyse, interpret and summarise the status of various registers and logs.
• Generate and issue periodic status/overdue reports related to project documents, project actions, issues and other project related information.

• Ensure appropriate issuance and storage of documents in accordance with the project document control procedure.
• Interface with external document suppliers, i.e. external Consultants and Contractors and ensure their compliance with project document control procedure as set by the Client.
• Support the implementation of project Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Health and Safety process, procedures and activities by participating in internal and externals audits.
• Manage the external stakeholder database including inputs and report production as required

Experience

• 10 years’ experience in a similar role ideally providing support on multidisciplinary, large scale projects.

Skills

• Fully proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and management of databases.

• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communications skills including ability to present information in a clear and concise format.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively on own initiative, set priorities and work within required time lines.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills, with a willingness and capacity to work cooperatively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to meet project demands.
• Flexible and able to multi-task.

• Appropriate third level qualification
