Job Summary

As an Associate Full Stack Developer, you will work with developers, designers and product managers to implement features for the bedbathandbeyond.com website and other internal applications. You will play an active role in identifying and resolving issues in performance, usability and accessibility. You should have prior professional experience working with technologies like Java, SQL, JavaScript, HTML and CSS. You will also work on cross-functional teams that experiment often and iterate quickly to deliver experiences that our customers will love.

Job Responsibilities

• Work with developers, designers and product managers to implement features.
• Optimize code for clean, performant, and accessible functionality.
• Develop software solutions using application frameworks such as Spring, JQuery
• Create reusable HTML, CSS & JavaScript components.
• Coordinate across different organizations, including network engineering, site reliability engineering and content marketing teams.
• May have to work off-hours to resolve issues.
• Perform other duties as required and assigned by manager and upper management.
• Follow legal policies as directed.

Job Requirements

Minimum Job Requirements

• Backend software engineering (Java/Spring/Node.js)
• Experience building web services, using the REST style.
• Basic JavaScript skills. ES7+
• Must have a passion for clean semantic markup, with an attention to detail.
• Have a good understanding of UI design, Usability, and Accessibility.
• Experience working with CSS.
• Must be able to work and fix various basic browsers inconsistencies that pop up.
• Must be able to work fast and under pressure to create pages, wireframes, and fix bugs.

Preferred Job Requirements

• Have a basic knowledge of JSON & AJAX implementation.
• 1+ years of professional website coding experience.
• Experience coding for responsive websites.
