Responsibilties:

• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable (ensure we get paid on time and pay our bills on time)
• Post debits and credits
• Create estimates for customers and prepare purchase orders
• Collect and remit sales tax to the appropriate government agencies
• Monitor debt levels and apply payment to any debt as it comes up for payment
• Record incoming payments and make deposits at the bank
• Handle bank reconciliations every month
• Equip our CPA with accurate financial statements at tax time
• Maintain our annual budget
• Report on issues and variances when they arise
• Process payroll
• Oversee inventory
• Management of shipments to our warehouse and communication with customs
• General clerical

We seek a person who works independently, structured and on your own initiative. You like dealing with numbers, work conscientiously and have experience in a comparable position. Discrepancies are quickly noticed, you question processes and react immediately if there are problems. The ideal candidate likes to ‘roll up his/her sleeves’ and create orderly systems, even challenging ones.

You are familiar with QUICKBOOKS, preferably the ONLINE version, and understand the principles of accrual accounting.
