Diagnostic Medical Physicist, Radiology Department
Job Description:
Lahey clinic network has an immediate opening for a Diagnostic Medical Physicist to provide physics support to state of the at digital imaging modalities including MRI, CT, SPECT/CT, PET/CT. Primary responsibilities include acceptance testing, performance evaluation and optimization of digital imaging equipment to meet state, federal and other regulatory requirements and physician imaging needs. Additional duties may include shielding calculation and patient dosimetry.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D degree in medical physics with at least three years of experience in ACR Accreditation process of Mammography, MRI, CT, US and other applicable imaging modalities. ABR or ABMP or equivalent certification is required (or Master degree in medical physics with ten years of clinical experience).
The ability to effectively interact with other medical physicists, radiologists, clinicians and technical staff is a necessity. The candidate will work in coordination with the chief diagnostic physicist.
