Imperfect Me

Artificial Intelligence (AI) can have unintended consequences in systems where it is deployed. However, increasing contextual understanding of AI feedback loops and cause-and-effect in systems, especially in high-risk applications like health, biosecurity, conservation, justice systems, and transport, AI tools can learn to improve over time and leverage wider neural networks.

Imperfect Me does the following:

1) Allows people with varying competencies to form human AI innovation teams

2) Allows people to identify feedback in AI systems leveraging disciplines outside commerce and computer science.

3) Integrates human lived experiences in these high-risk applications

4) Generates AI solutions from partial exposure of academic ideas to non-academic actors

Imperfect Me provides knowledge of decision-making in health, biosecurity, conservation, justice systems, and transport to reduce the incidence of misinformed human decision-making.

Role Description

This is an equity remote role for a Founding Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to Imperfect Me. The CTO will lead our technology team at Beyond3Generations and drive state-of-the-art AI solutions. The CTO will play a crucial role in shaping our technical strategy, ensuring the scalability and robustness of our platform, and fostering an innovative and equitable work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the company’s technical vision and strategy, aligning with the overall business goals and ensuring Imperfect Me’s long-term growth and success.
• Product Development: Oversee the development and deployment of Imperfect Me’s platform, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure AI solutions.
• Team Management: Build and lead a high-performing technology team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Technology Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, driving innovation and the adoption of cutting-edge AI and machine learning techniques.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other executive team members, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless technology integration with business objectives.
• Customer Focus: Engage with customers and partners to understand their needs and ensure our technology solutions meet and exceed their expectations.
• Equitable Atmosphere: Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within the technology team and the organisation.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience in a technical leadership role, preferably at a top company such as NVidia, Microsoft, Google or Apple, Experience with a leading start-up such as Databricks, DataRobot, or Scale AI or or portfolio demonstrating experience in building Digital Ecosystem using Python
• Technical Expertise: A deep understanding of AI, machine learning, distributed computing, and software development is required. Experience with AI code generation, model tuning, API integration, and deployment strategies is also needed.
• Educational Background: Experience in a technical role or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Growth Mindset: Demonstrated passion for building state-of-the-art technology and a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of effectively engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Instructional Experience: Preference for candidates with experience as an instructor, DevRel, or Solutions Architect.
• Passion for Equity: A solid commitment to creating an equitable and inclusive atmosphere within the team and organisation.
