Summary Description of Classification: Greets visitors, handles incoming calls and performs general administrative duties. Collects and reconciles payments for various departments, opens and distributes incoming mail to the department; provides support to payroll and accounts payable; facilitates password reset; assist staff with duties as requested.

Education, Training and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Completion of a recognized secretarial training program or related course work is desired.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in secretarial work is required.
Must have experience working with personal computers and various types of computer software (word processing, spreadsheets, databases).
Prior work in the accounting is highly desirable.
Good communication and public relation skills required.
Ability to work independently, under pressure and meet deadlines is required.
Any alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and Board may fine appropriate and acceptable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet visitors.
Handle incoming calls.
Perform general administrative duties (i.e. filing, making copies as needed, disseminate information as needed, etc.).
Assist other staff members with work overflow.
Assist in keying invoices for accounts payable.
Sort and distribute incoming mail.
SALARY/TERMS/BENEFITS:
1. 239 day work year; 8 hours per day.
2. Salary Range: $18.20 – $20.51 hourly (Grade 45) (placement on salary schedule based on years of allowed related experience). Up to ten (10) years allowed. The stated salary range reflects the opportunity for pay over the course of the employee’s tenure. The top salary is not a potential starting salary.
