About Our Role
As a Senior Software Engineer at BibliU, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of brilliant engineers and provide solutions to technical problems that have a direct impact on our customers.
The technologies we use include AWS, lambda, node.js, typescript/JavaScript, MySQL, dynamodb, elastic search. We run regular engineering sessions where you may propose new technologies that can help solve the challenges we are facing.
There’s opportunity for mentorship of junior members of the team and to help shape our technical direction. We work closely with other teams within Bibliu so you will have the chance to build relationships across the wider team.
We are a fully remote team, across different time zones but maintaining a positive, open and collaborative team culture remains a priority to us. There are initiatives in place that working remotely, to make sure you still feel a part of the team and can get to know others in the company.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Providing and implementing technical solutions.

Delivering those solutions on agreed upon timelines

Collaborating with your team and other teams to achieve company objectives

Owning the teams infrastructure

Providing code and scoping reviews

Responding to and handling incidents in our production systems
What we are looking for
-
Experience with node.js with javascript/typescript

Good understanding serverless architecture pertaining to AWS
-
Confident in SQL, bonus if experienced with mysql

Some experience with Elasticsearch/Opensearch

Previous experience in building front end applications in javascript/typescript

Individual contributor that enjoys working with a team

Recognize security best practices and the ability to implement and enforce them

An interest in statecharts as an application design pattern
