An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Ruby/React Developer to join the BIG Team. This role is for someone who enjoys being involved in the full software development lifecycle, from scoping out requirements, to implementation, testing, and ongoing maintenance.

You’ll be working on our custom-built Employee Relationship Management system, which consists of a Rails 5.1 admin area, and an employee-facing single page React application talking to a Rails API. Among other features, the app manages the delegation of time- and location-sensitive tasks to BIGs 1500+ workforce of merchandising staff across Australia and New Zealand.

In addition to writing code, you’ll be communicating with the COO and our internal business analysts to scope out new features and identify opportunities to further improve our workflow.

Skills & Experience

• Excellent communication skills
• Ruby on Rails
• React
• Automated testing (currently use rspec and jest, and Buildkite for CI)
• Ability to work autonomously
