Bis Industries Hiring for Mechatronics Engineer Job at Osborne Park, Australia Full Time

The purpose of the position is to develop key mechatronic systems for Bis’s developed vehicles such as Rexx and UGT130

Working as part of the Engineering design team you will work with the mechanical design team to bring our award winning innovations to life. In today’s modern mining equipment electrical and digital systems are the key to the success of the product.

You will work on Canbus systems and leading industry software to ensure the vehicles perform the required task.

You will work with Battery Systems and Electric motors and a range of other onboard systems.

Your role is key to developing the vehicles of the future for Bis. There will be challenges and hurdles as no supplier ever produces a perfect product at the first time. There is also opportunities to work on mechanical design tasks.

The engineering team are genuinely regarded as the key experts in on-board vehicles systems.

The nuts and bolts of the role are below:

• Design Projects ensuring completion of projects to schedule and compliance with relevant design standards
• Ensure products designed are commercially viable with good product/component performance
• Perform engineering Calculations, Modeling and Drafting when required
• Develop software using Codesys, Parker IQAN, Danfoss +1, or other languages as required
• Updating BOM as required
• Completing ERL’s and ECN’s
• Resolving Production and Service Issues
• Assisting / helping other Engineers
• Checking drawings, designs and calculations

The background we are looking for:

• Extensive experience in programming
• Experience in Automotive / Truck / Mining Equip design
• Experience with Hybrid vehicle or Electric Vehicle
• Good communication skills
• Solid Modelling experience
• FEA experience
• Truck manufacturing experience
• Automotive testing and data logging experience
